Property Owners
Unlike the American model, the UK government took the conscious decision not to include property owners in the BID statutory process, but rather to encourage property owners to be involved on a voluntary basis. New West End Company has developed the support and commitment of a significant proportion of the property owners within the West End shopping district. The continued commitment and engagement of property owners is essential.
As such a Voluntary Partnership Agreement with members of the property community is established, encouraging owners to match the investment made by their retail occupiers.
New West End Company currently has the support of 14 property partners from within the District representing over £1million in matched funding.
