Getting to the West End by Road

If you are driving in to London, there are a number of secure car parks with easy access to the heart of the West End.


Westminster City Council
offer a number of conveniently located car parks in the area and their website features a useful 'Car Park Finder' feature to help you find them. All of their car parks have been awarded 'Safer Car Park' status.

NCP's website has a handy car park finder. You input the place, postcode or street name, click on 'find car park' - the results is a listing of car parks close to your destination and includes a street map, directions and price information.

The Selfridges car park can be accessed from Seymour, Upper Brook and Barret Streets. Please check opening times and charges with the store.

By Coach

Masterpark's Thorney Coach Park in Thorney Street, SW1 offers parking facilities for minibuses and coaches. For further information call 020 7630 1831.

The coach park has 17 bays and is open Monday - Saturday 07.00 - 19.00

Congestion Charge

No Congestion Charge on weekends and public holidays!

No Congestion Charge Monday to Friday after 18:30 in the evening and before 07:00 in the morning.

Traffic signs make it very clear when drivers are approaching, entering, and leaving the Congestion Charging zone. Advance information is provided on the main approach roads and directional signs indicate which routes take drivers into the charging zone and which roads do not.

The charge is £8 if you pay by 10.00pm on the day of travel. An additional £2 surcharge will apply if you pay from 10.00pm until midnight on the day of travel. The total charge for paying between 10pm and midnight is £10. This is to encourage early payment.

What if I forget to pay?

The full penalty charge payable is £100 which is discounted by 50% to £50 if paid within 14 days. Should payment not be received within the first 28 days a Charge Certificate will be issued and you will be liable to pay £150. If a debt is registered you will be liable to pay £155.
