About Crossrail
Crossrail is one of the most important developments taking place in the UK today, offering a direct east to west route across London, linking Shenfield and Abbey Wood in the east with Maidenhead and Heathrow in the west.
In the West End, Crossrail will have stations at Tottenham Court Road and Bond Street with direct access to the existing London Underground stations, which themselves will undergo major redevelopment and expansion, including new entrances, larger ticket halls and increased escalator capacity.
The £15.9bn project will take until 2017 to complete.
