Crossrail
In July 2008 the Crossrail Bill received Royal Assent, it has now become the Crossrail Act 2008 and the project will now move to the delivery phase. Construction begins in 2010, with completion not expected until 2017.
To ensure we are representing West End Businesses interests during the planning and implementation of the works, formal stakeholder groups have been set up by Crossrail, led and chaired by relevant local authorities, one to help inform works around Bond Street and one for Tottenham Court Road.
New West End Company also makes formal written responses to the planning briefs for Crossrail as they arise, emphasising the challenges and the opportunities that Crossrail presents for the West End.
