After the huge success of previous years, the world’s largest traffic-free shopping event returns to London’s West End on Saturday 5 December 2009. Shop West End VIP Day (which stands for Very Important Pedestrians) is back, for a day of fantastic festive shopping and entertainment.
Shop West End VIP Day is the biggest event of the year on the shopping calendar and the only experience of its kind in the world. The day will see both Oxford Street and Regent Street cleared of traffic, leaving the area free for visitors to enjoy. This year will be bigger and better than ever, with stores pulling out all the stops to give high street fashionistas red carpet treatment. Look out for the new chill-out zone, live music stages, in-store entertainment, special shopper rewards and give-aways – there’s no better way to experience Christmas shopping.
London’s West End has over 600 shops, 176 flagships, 40 theatres and more than 2,000 bars and restaurants.
