New West End Company invites you to attend our inaugural Air Quality Summit 2016, marking the launch of our West End wide, first ever business-led air quality strategy. We want all of the businesses in the heart of London’s retail district to get involved, so that collectively we can take action and improve local air quality.
The Air Quality Summit 2016 will be chaired by Ben Rogers from Centre for London with panellists:
– Val Shawcross CBE, Deputy Mayor for Transport
– Cllr Heather Acton, Cabinet Member of Sustainability & Parking for Westminster City Council
– Alex Williams, Interim Managing Director Planning, Transport for London
DATE: Tuesday 28 June 2016
TIME: 8-11am (8am coffee & pastries; 8.30am start)
VENUE: Regent Street Cinema, 309 Regent Street, London W1B 2UW (open map)
TRANSPORT: The venue has cycle hire points nearby (Broadcasting House – Marylebone, Little Argyll Street – West End) and is easily accessible on foot from public transport links
After the seminar the Air Quality Marketplace will open, providing an opportunity to meet with organisations such as Parcelly, TfL, ZipCar and more, who can support you in making changes to reduce your business’ impact on local air quality.
We are using the #westendair hashtag to start communicating our strategy and outline actions being undertaken, including promoting our members’ pledges. Join in the conversation and let everyone know that London’s West End will soon be a healthier place to shop, work, live and relax.
