Westminster City Council: Climate Emergency Business Workshop – Transport Emissions
Be part of the city’s response to climate change
The 60-minute sessions are hosted by Westminster City Council and will bring businesses together to identify opportunities to reduce or eliminate carbon emissions from commercial and domestic buildings, energy supply and transport, as well as identifying opportunities to reduce waste and use green spaces for carbon offsetting.
Tackling carbon emissions from transport in Westminster
The council has pledged to work with businesses, residents, policy makers and communities to tackle climate change and achieve net zero carbon emissions across the city by 2040. Westminster City Council are pleased to invite you to take part in a series of business workshops to help shape a Climate Emergency action plan for Westminster setting out the city’s pathway to achieving the ambitious target.
Transport represents a significant proportion of the city’s emissions, often through freight and deliveries. This session will explore reducing demand and alternative modes of transport.
The sessions will begin with a summary of the emission source and an overview of common barriers and opportunities. This will be followed by breakout sessions to discuss key challenges and local opportunities.
