Our 2020 Strategy & Annual Plans

We are now on the brink of even greater change in the West End; major public realm work is almost complete on Bond Street, with 60% more pedestrian space, and we are working closely with Westminster City Council to shape the future vision for the Oxford Street District, and with our partners The Crown Estate on the evolution of Regent Street. The Elizabeth line will result in 60 million additional annual visits once it has fully opened in 2021, benefiting businesses across the West End with an extra £1 billion in turnover each year.

Over this term (2016-2021) we will continue to drive footfall, sales and investment opportunities. We will work closely with businesses and partners on our advocacy programme, and to ensure that the West End is ready for the Elizabeth Line. We will be a key partner delivering a new West End.

Our Annual Plans

Over the past few years a number of public realm upgrades have completely transformed the district, our business rates campaign has intensified and we have delivered several high profile marketing campaigns for the West End & Mayfair.

As we are facing challenging trading conditions and unprecedented economic and political change this year, New West End Company is also implementing our 3D programme for London’s West End & Mayfair in 2019. This will focus on:

  • Data – the launch of our world-first consumer analysis service in partnership with PwC
  • Digital – rolling-out free customer WiFi throughout our district with ‘always on” customer channels
  • Delivery – the start of the Oxford Street District transformation programme and an improved customer service to our member businesses
