At Christmas loneliness can be felt deeply by those who have no family around them. The West End Community Trust are a small charity based in Soho and treat a group of around 20 local residents to a lovely Christmas Lunch at a local restaurant  – it might be the only time they have a get together.

WECT’s sponsor this year has stepped back and they are looking for someone to step in so that they can bring some joy to local residents which include:

  • A lady in her seventies who lost her husband 18 months ago , lives alone in Soho and has no family in London
  • A lady in her nineties who lives in Soho and has no family in London
  • A lady in her 50’s who has been suffering with depression and stress, lives alone in Soho and her family are abroad
  • A lady in her 80’s who lost her husband three years ago and lives alone in Soho
  • A lady in her 60’s who lives in Soho alone and spends most of her time helping others in her housing  block
  • A man in his 70’s who has been unwell with various conditions lately including shingles, lives alone in Soho and his family live abroad
  • A lady in her 60’s who lives in Soho and has no family in London
