A New Chapter for New West End Company’s CEO

Jace Tyrrell

Chief Executive

After six years as Chief Executive of New West End Company, I’m turning to a new chapter with a unique and compelling offer to move back down under to head up Australia’s first BID at the New Sydney Waterfront Company from 1 October this year.

On behalf of our Chairman, the Board and our full team, I would like to reassure you that New West End Company will maintain its unwavering commitment to promoting London’s West End and supporting you, our members and key partners in continuing to provide the highest level of services and advocacy.

New West End Company is in a strong position. Our District is also set for major recovery with over £5bn capital investment in the next few years, the opening of the Elizabeth Line this summer and customer and investor demand returning at pace – and we have plans to do even more. I’m most proud of our success in delivering Bond Street and Hanover Square transformation schemes with our property members and our key partners at Westminster City Council and very much look forward to seeing the Oxford Street District renewal.

Dee Corsi, our Chief Operating Officer will take up the lead of New West End Company from October – supported by our Chairman Sir Peter Rogers and the Board with our highly effective management team – all of whom are all fully committed to supporting the West End as we continue to recover from the pandemic.

They all remain relentless in their efforts to affect real change for our District - whether through our advocacy on top issues including business rates, campaigning to re-instate tax-free shopping, reforming Sunday trading and the transformation of the Oxford Street District led by Westminster City Council along with our street management, insights & marketing services.

They all share your passion and dedication to ensuring West End reasserts itself as the leading global retail and leisure centre, and stand ready to continue this legacy of evolution, furthering our District’s net zero and clean air sustainability commitments whilst delivering commercial successes.

While my departure is by no means imminent, and I am excited to continue working with you for the next six months, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your collaboration and support.

Representing our District in this great global city has been an absolute privilege, and I have no doubt that the West End will continue to move from strength to strength.

 Yours in Partnership
